FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES OF PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT
 

1.         Maintaining Service Record & Leave Record

2.         Conduction of Promotion as per calendar.

3.         Granting annual increment.

4.         Confirmation of staff.

5.         Maintaining the seniority in a specified unit.

6.         Review of Service.

7.         Processing of transfer of staff.

8.         Maintaining Book of Sanction and vacancy Position.

9.         Processing the settlement cases.

10.        Processing for accident claims.

11.        Assessing the Personnel Productivity Ratio.

12.        Processing of various advances and allowances.

13.        Recording of various types of leave.

Powers and duties of Personnel Officers and employees of combined “P” Branch

 

CHIEF PERSONNEL OFFICER 

He holds responsibility  

•To ensure efficient management on establishment matters of employees of CLW.

•To identify the training needs of personnel under his control

•To organise and monitor the training as identified by various departments

•To ensure healthy industrial relations and organise welfare activities.

•To plan and control the cadre of personnel department. 

                Dy. Chief Personnel Officer (W)

He holds responsibility 

•To look after the establishment matters of employees under the control of works shop office.

•To organise and monitor the mandatory training of supervisors and staff in coordination with PTTC

•To maintain the training records.

•To assist CPO in discharging his responsibility 

                        Dy Chief Personnel Officer (G/Con) 

He holds responsibility 

•To look after the establishment matters of Gazetted officers

•To organise and monitor the mandatory training of gazetted officers in coordination with   respective PHODs

•To maintain the training records of gazetted officers.

•To assist CPO in discharging his responsibility 

           Senior Personnel Officer (W/M) 

He holds responsibility 

•To look after the establishment matter of employees of Mechanical Loco department.

•To look after training of supervisors and non-gazetted employees of Mechanical department.

•To assist Dy CPO (W) in discharging his responsibilities 

Senior Personnel Officer (Law) 

He holds responsibility 

•To look after the court cases connected with establishment matters of the employees of CLW.

•To assist Dy CPO (W) in discharging his responsibilities 

Assistant Personnel Officer(W/E) 

He holds responsibility 

•To look after the establishment matter of employees of Electrical department.

•To look after training of supervisors and non-gazetted employees of Electrical department.

•To assist Dy CPO (W) in discharging his responsibilities 

Assistant Welfare Officer 

He holds responsibility

•To look after the establishment matters of Sanitary Cleaners and Ferro Printers, Peons, Chowkidars of Works Office.

•To organise and monitor the cleaning on the shop floor.

•To maintain activities of Staff Benefit Fund.

•To monitor the activities of Works Canteen.

•To assist Dy CPO(W) in discharging his responsibilities. 

 

Assistant Personnel Officer (SF)

He holds responsibility 

•To look after the establishment matter of employees of Steel Foundry

•To look after training of supervisors and non gazetted employees of Steel Foundry.

•To assist Dy CPO (W) in discharging his responsibilities.
